Made to ASTM D3953-97 standards, this 1-1/4” x .035” steel strapping boasts a minimum total capacity of 4,725 lbs. and a working load capacity of 3,150 lbs., with markings every 12–15 inches for easy compliance checks. Coated in G60 zinc for corrosion resistance, it’s ideal for outdoor use on mobile homes, sheds, propane tanks, RV ports, and carports. It’s also frequently used to reinforce trailer holding tanks, anchor large signage, and add stability to outdoor structures in high-wind areas. For safe handling, gloves are recommended when uncoiling, as the tightly wound strap can have sharp edges. Disclaimer: This strap is manufactured with a G60 galvanized coating (0.60 oz. zinc per square foot of steel). While G60 meets HUD requirements, some states — including Florida — may require higher galvanization such as G120.
